Project Goals
Reduce sediment loading, which is
a significant source of non-point pollution in the Connecticut River.
Demonstrate the effectiveness
of various bioengineering techniques to stabilize eroding river
banks in a large river system with a highly manipulated flow regime.
Enhance riparian
habitat value with native plant communities.
